eric and vanessa’s wanted to have their connection session in their own backyard, so they brought Jen and i out to New York last weekend. it was an amazing afternoon exploring, chasing light and capturing their connection. complete post coming soon.
something a little different for me. some editorial/commercial work for a client of Flipp Advertising, Matt of Knuckles Industries. Matt wanted some images for his new site that weren’t all about him but more about the process and the environment. he wanted a specific feel to the images, so we decided to shoot them on 800 ISO kodak film to give it some grain and coloring.
while down in Las Vegas for WPPI, Fer Juaristi and i decided it would great to get out of Vegas for an afternoon and shoot some personal stuff. no rules. no time constraints. no pressure. just an afternoon of creative freedom. so we put out a casting call for a model and a few days later Tiffany replied saying she would love to be a part of it. she was down to earth. she was natural. she was exactly who we envisioned for the shoot. so we decided that the Valley of Fire would be the perfect location for the session and spent a few hours out there shooting. laughing. exploring. it was a perfect afternoon with two amazing people.
everything here was shot on Kodak film with either the contax 645 or the mamiya RZ Pro 67 II and processed and scanned by my favorite lab, Pro Photo Connection and be sure to head over to Fer’s blog to see his collection of work from this shoot. i just have to say that very few photographers inspire me the way he does. once you look at his collection of work i am sure you’ll agree. he is truly an incredible artist.
